Today on Ibadan comedy gist, we have one of the Ibadan fashion designer. Mrs. Olatoun Olayiwola, The CEO of SULTON COUTURE. 

Can we meet you ma? 
   Am Mrs. Olatoun Olayiwola, am a native of Ibadan Oyo state. Had my primary school education at Orita Baptist Primary School, Oritamefa, Ibadan Secondary School at Federal Government  Girls College, Oyo,I studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering  at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and I was the first National Vice President of National Association of Electrical Engineering Students.


 How did you get into fashion designing?
   Fashion had always been something i loved, I didnt do fashion because i was unemployed I had a good job in Telecom with 6 figure salary. I just wanted to do what I loved. I had always wanted a tailor to make some foreign designs for me, but there werent many around that could So i put myself into it. And i had the support of family too.
How difficult was it when you were learning?

It wasnt easy when I started.But i was determined I learnt from an expert too who understand the challenges students can have. How long have you been into Fashion Designing?              Over five years now. What have been your achievement so far?     Our Brand is gaining momentum and we have trained a number of students who are now handling their own businesses as well. Do you have a training platform for young folks that wish to get into fashion business?    We train. But right now, we have a full class By May/June, we should be open for admission.  Who are your role models?     I dont have a specific one.But i follow and gain from top designers like Kogi Sagoe, April by Kunbi, Valisimo, Doyin Sonubi....there are many of them that are good and inspiring. What is your advice for young folks out there who wish to venture into fashion designing?    Let passion drive you Dont do it for doing sakes And understand everything before you start. Dont just understand the technical side, understand the business side as well. And know about Brand management.  How can your fans or anyone that want to transact with you hook you up?
